Alkaline is a product and design studio based in Howick, KZN. We manufacture in-house — from 3D printing and mould-making through to finished casting in Jesmonite, resin, cement and composite materials.

We print the master form in-house, then create a production mould. Precision here means consistency across every cast piece.
Each piece is hand-cast in your chosen material — Jesmonite, resin, cement or a composite blend. Every cast is individually inspected before finishing.
Hand-finished, quality checked and carefully packaged. We deliver across South Africa and can arrange international shipping for larger orders.
A gypsum and water-based acrylic resin system that produces a stone-like finish with excellent detail. Lightweight, low VOC and versatile — pigmentable, texturable and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
High-detail casting resins that capture fine surface texture and sharp edges.
Raw, industrial and considered. Cement-cast objects carry a natural weight and texture that no other material replicates. We work with standard and glass-fibre reinforced mixes.
Proprietary blends combining aggregate, pigment and binder to achieve specific aesthetic outcomes. Terrazzo-effect, stone-effect and custom texture profiles — developed to meet your brief.
